Connections in CVRM Research in Scotland Symposium Day

Date: 26/10/2026 to 26/10/2026 Venue: COSLA, Edinburgh

Join us for an NHS Research Scotland collaborative symposium, bringing together four research areas to discover how Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Renal, and Metabolic (CVRM) specialities are uniting to deliver innovative, holistic multi-morbidity clinical trials that directly benefit patients across Scotland

This symposium brings together leading experts from across NHS Scotland, with the goal of breaking down traditional clinical research silos to address the growing challenge of multi-morbidity health conditions through collaborative partnerships in Cardio-Renal-Metabolic (CRM) specialities, and to design and deliver bespoke research programs. Hear directly from principal investigators about what's new in multi-morbidity clinical trials for our Scottish patient populations and how implementation science is changing clinical care pathways.

You will hear from:

  • Scotland’s Chief Scientist (Health), Professor Dame Anna Dominiczak on Scotland’s contribution to CVRM research and why this matters
  • Researchers discussing the latest developments across their specialties
  • Peers and potential collaborators over complimentary refreshments
