The NHS Research Scotland Cardiovascular Network, organised two events in 2022 involving patients and members of the public. The aim of these events was to hear first-hand views from cardiovascular patients in Scotland how they want to be involved research. Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Guidance and Training contains information for patients and professionals on how to get the most out of working with the public, as well as links to training courses for those looking to get involved in running PPI groups. Patient Public Involvement Engagement guidance comes from a number of sources, including NIHR and Chief Scientist Office (CSO) policy documents, grey literature, and blog posts.
